A one-off, 2 hour session to simplify everything that’s happening in your marketing, and leave you with a much clearer plan of what to do next.
The Opportunity Scan
Marketing your business just feels like a pit of despair right now
Sounds a wee bit dramatic. But that’s because it feels dramatic. Understandable, really.
You’re doing all of the things in all of the different places in an attempt to try and move your business forward.
Actually, that’s not true. You’re still not even sure what “forward” looks like for you right now, let alone whether your business is getting there or not.
You know you have to keep going and keep doing. But the doing and the going doesn’t seem to be doing anything or going anywhere.
It’s too tangled and complicated and messy, and it’s making you want to chuck the whole thing away, sell your earthly possessions and manage a farm in Tibet.
Tempting. But no. There’s a much simpler solution. And it involves fewer goats.
Let’s nip the floundering in the bud, shall we?
Get a quick, one-off dose of clarity on where you’re going in your business, and how a simpler, clearer approach to marketing is going to take you there.
You don’t need a complete overhaul to your marketing right now (not only because you’re not sure you could cope with that).
2 hours is plenty. That’s all you need to find:
Long and short term wins
We’ll identify:
One main project to work on over the next few months
A handful of quick wins you can get cracking on straight away
That’s all your marketing needs to be. A handful. Doesn’t that sound more manageable already?
The golden, easy to grasp opportunities you don’t even realise you’re sitting on
Because I’m not in your brain with you, I can spot the quick wins sitting in your blindspot, that won’t add to your overwhelm.
Justification to forget at least half the things think you need to worry about
I’ll probably tell you to put the majority of the things you’re carrying around in your brain down. Doesn’t that sound nice?
Here's how it works:
-
So that we can make the most out of the scan session, I’ll ask you to fill out a quick prep form during onboarding. This just gives me an overview of your business, and an idea of what you want from our session. I’ll also pop over a couple of prompts for you to think about so that you’re ready for the session.
-
It all starts with a big ol’ brain dump.
After that, we focus on:
Reflections
Goal setting
Identifying key projects
Questioning why you’re doing the things you’re doing (and if there’s an easier way to do them)
-
You finish up the session with:
A prioritised list of projects
Some quick wins to tick off easily for an immediate boost
Access to any of my templates that I think could help you
The Opportunity Scan brought back the motivation to get stuff done on my business. It felt like I was in all of the places doing all of the things with my marketing, and so when it came to making improvements, I got so overwhelmed that I just didn’t know where to start.
Doing an Opportunity Scan with Laura put a stop to the overwhelm. It was amazing how quickly Laura was able to point out simpler ways of doing things, things that I would never have seen myself because I was too close to my business.
I came away from the session with a much clearer idea of what needed fixing. Laura pulled together a crystal clear summary of our session, with the projects I needed to focus on, the quick wins that I could sink my teeth into, and a bunch of really useful resources to support me moving forward.
If anyone feels like they’re going round in circles in their business, and knows that there must be a simpler, clearer way of doing things, then Laura is THE person to help you find it.

You don’t need to be doing more
You just need someone to be frank with you about what you actually need to be doing. And what you can put down and leave alone.
My name’s Laura, but I can be frank. Especially when it comes to your marketing.
And I’d love to tell you what you can scrub from your to-do list.
